Our planet, Earth, has experienced a catastrophic geological event. A massive under water volcano erupted at 5:00 am. The volcano was located off It created a huge tidal wane nearly 1500 m high. It has washed away most of the topsoil and deposited it on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean sea bed. All people with the exception of my small group have died. We survived only because we were climbing the highest mountain in the world at the time of the event. Most of the Earth is unfit to live on.
B. Problem:
How does my small groiup of suvivors work together to create a miniature biosphere to live in until the Earth is able to slowly regernerate?
C. Survival Plan:
We will use our knowledge of the Earth's Crust, mixtures & solutions, heat, & biology to create a survival plan to create a miniature biosphere.
Plan:
Step 1: Chose a place.
Step 2: Design/plan a shelter.
We planned to build our shelter on a standed tropical island in the middle of the ocean. We planned to bild a metal roof and huge glass windows to let light in.The windows would suport owr structure by leting light in. We need sun so owr plants can grow and the earth blow us can get sun light.
Step 3: Build a structure
For some stucture we are building a 20 foot wall out of stone.We are making a fresh water pond for all the water we need for drinking, growing food and watering all owr plants.Owr grop would also put a fair amount of animals for food and enjoy ment.
Step 4: Grow food.
We would grow fuits and vegies because we need owr nutrition.
Step 5: Clean water.
We would make sure the water we drink is safe by boiling it
Step 6: Clean air.
We would make sure our is air clean by filtering the air.
Step 9: Recycle
we would reuse water bottels, plastic and glass.
D. Conclusion:
We would survive the disaster by moving to a island in the middle of the ocean.The biggest challenge will be to try to build a shelter.
